Community Engagement
ManMade
Developed in 2014 and recognised by Public Health England as an effective approach to supporting men who are struggling to cope, the ManMade programme aims to help men develop strategies and coping skills to manage changes to their everyday life.
Annual Physical Health Checks
In 2023 we worked alongside our Health and Social care Networks to promote the importance of physical health checks for our citizens who were diagnosed with a serious mental illness (SMI).
Community Connectors
One of the biggest challenges in respect of suicide prevention is to get the message out across our diverse communities.
Food, Mood & Well-being
Common Unity and Forward For Life alongside third sector organisations regularly run the Food, Mood and Wellbeing events as part of World Mental Health Day.
Crisis – Suicide Prevention Media Programme
Forward For Life and Common-Unity have been working alongside the national charity CRISIS for a number of years to support their staff to learn the skills to assist someone who may be at risk of suicide to stay safe.
